out from my cave and on to the computer to blog...

I would imagine I've lost a few readers with my lack of initiative to post in this thing on a fairly regular basis. I'm just not a fairly regular basis kinda guy.

I don't know how people blog on a daily basis, I'd have nothing to write. I mean, Yeahhh sure, if I was to post what I'm actually doing while I travel, then I might be posting on a fairly regular basis. But who wants to read about that... I need a ton of time after posting blog to make up stories on top of things that actually happened. So anyway....

Couple weeks ago I moved out of the City of Broken Glass(Windsor, New South Wales) and drove 9-10 hours up the east coast to Byron Bay. I must say, this place is beautiful.

We were driving in Byron Bay, and I happened to look left and saw this on the side off the side of the road...

Pretty cool, I'd say... super beautiful, laidback area.

I came to Byron Bay, and noticed that across the street from the place we're staying was a massive coffee bean plantation. When it hit me that I was in coffee bean country, I knew I would have no problem calling this place home, if I was ever forced to call it home.

So time goes on and we're on our way to the next stop up on the Sunshine Coast to crash at my friend's mom's for a couple days.

What state is the Sunshine Coast located in guyz?

Great. You got it. Queensland.

I was here two days and I got my first souvenir.

Added bonus was that I didn't purchase this souvenir, or ask for it or anything. I was riding my bike home, and I guess I got some guy decided he better pull me over to give me a gift. We exchanged stories, he gave me a few pointers about life and so forth and we parted ways.

Gawd!!!...

Why do I have ridiculous "run-in's" with the law? After I got this ticket, some people who saw me getting the ticket came and talked to me, they were baffled that someone ACTUALLY got a ticket for not wearing a helmet. They lived there for years and those tickets were unheard of/a joke to them. I'm not even here two days and I'm 30 feet away from the house I was staying at, then that... Grrrrrr... I just don't think the law understands me.

Well, pete's tired and tomorrow I'll be my usual... very busy.... very productive self...So I should rest. Ya ok no laughing,

bye

peglol.

Recipes:

Main ingredient....

Canned Platypus.

Serves very similar to tuna, and canned salmon.

Makes great sandwiches when combined with a mayonnaise, chopped celery, green onion n whatever else you have around yah crib.

I got this recipe too, y'all can try it at home......

FAMILY SIZE Ummm.. Platypus MELT

2 c. Bisquick baking mix
1/3 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/3 c. milk
2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans drained PLATYPUS(tuna can work to, I guess)
1/2 c. finely chopped celery
1/3 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
2 tbsp. sweet relish
6 slices American cheese (3 1/2" square each)

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Mix baking mix, 1/3 cup mayonnaise and the milk until soft dough forms; beat vigorously 30 seconds. Turn onto surface floured with baking mix. Knead 10 times. Pat into rectangle, 12"x8", on greased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, about 8 minutes. Mix remaining ingredients except cheese. Spread over hot rectangle. Top with cheese slices. Bake until filling is hot and cheese is melted, about 5 minutes. 6 servings. ...Then like.. maybe eat what you've made, just don't eat too much..I guess.... after that you could probably do dishes, or something, have dessert or just spend time with your families.. .Watch the first couple seasons of the OC, and maybe shower, go to bed after that. Go to your job the next day and heat up the leftovers.

Next Segment - The Roommates:

Alright, I might as well introduce you the roommates I've been living with for the past couple months. The pictures kinda suite them well enough, it's not necessary for me to give them a ton of introduction. So yeah here...

Say hello to Todd...

Say hello to Robin...

Say hello or something to David and he might get back to you later.... I guess

I could say more about these guys, but basically, Todd's always around the computer, Robin only eats boiled eggs and toast, and David's a nice guy, but he spends most of his time sleeping(obviously not cleaning). So these pictures kind of say it all. That... and I can never understand what the hell any of them are saying. That's to be expected I suppose, they're from Australia.. and Sweden.

anyway, real busy right now... you guys all know the crazy fast paced lifestyle I'm known to lead...
ok well, i go now.

bye

heya preciousness.

Hi, could the following people send me food:

Mom: Your Vegetarian lasagna- After Pangaea, the ice age, and continents were formed, Australia, as it became known, broke off on it's own and life developed here, but it has always been rather isolated. As a result, a lot of the wildlife here is very distinct and won't be found elsewhere. Likewise, Australia has not received everything that is customary everywhere else in the world, vegetarian lasagna has not made it to this continent yet. So yeah, mom, if you could just send that lasagna along, that'd be great, thanks.

Dustin's Mom: Great baking- Umm, yeah, I can't think of any real reason geographically for this one. I guess I just like your baking and one way or another, I think you knew that. Especially after the first few times Dustin and I would take down a full cookie jar.... and then for the steady 3-4 years of doing that afterwards. So yeah, Airmail, or FedEx.

Shane's Mom: Anything - Now I know it's been awhile since I've been around, but at one point I was really dedicated to your refrigerator. I figured since Xmas season is upon us you guys might need some help moderating the amount of food you can have in the fridge, because it just won't all fit sometimes. I remember doing more than my share of work eating after turkey dinners so things didn't get out of hand. At one point, my own Mom might've gave her a card for....letting me be so dedicated to that refrigerator, let's just say. But yeah, I'm still more than willing to help you guys out with things, so if you want to FedEx leftover turkey, mashed potatoes, baking, etc.. I'd be appreciative.

Grandma Pauline: Cookies- Hi Grandma, I think if I remember correctly, about 15 years ago I asked you on the phone to send me a cookie in the mail. I still have not received that cookie, or any cookies period. So if you could get crackin' on that sometime in the near future Grandma, that'd be great thanks. I'll continue waiting patiently. FedEx might work... and hopefully you're doing well too.

Ken: Just whatever man, you're an awesome cook- Preferably if you sent something priority or express mail so I could get my hands on that sooner or later. Thanks.

Dad: Pies - Somehow I just know somewhere in Ruddell, Saskatchewan, my dad is hanging out with some old farmer's wives trying to learn advanced-top secret-traditional pie making skills. So Dad, if you could send your latest apple or strawberry-rhubarb prototypes, I'm sure they'd be well enjoyed. oh Yeah, you can choose your own method of delivery, added bonus if you go out to the shop, make something and then strap the pies to some sort of rocket (or birdhouse???or something?) with a good working jps system. That'd be kinda neat, I guess.. A+ for effort on that one.

send to:

Peter Olsen
193A Macquarie St. 2756
Windsor, NSW, Australia

oh yeah.....

(If either of you two ^^^^^ are reading this, could you send me an email or something? I'm curious how you guys are doing. Whenever I call I talk to Mom, Ken or Farideh and they say you guys are doing ok, but I haven't heard it from you either of you firsthand. I haven't gave you a number to call me, but I figured with the way you two are it'd be preferred to talk through email. Thanks Lou/Minnow)
