whoa!

A couple recent Favourites

I love the music and creativity on the board in thisss... Louie's incredible

Some of my favourite stuff I've seen in awhile, just something else, kind of a different setup than what's going on today in skating.

.

Today I was trying to fall back asleep, my cat came to snuggle me on my bed and curled up under my wing under the covers with me.

She then proceeded to give me the WORST "dutch-oven" ever. I got over it, and we fell back asleep.

multi talented folks

A couple of lengendary skaters who also are amazing musicians:

Ray Barbee

Super good skate section from 20 years ago...

His tunes

Tommy Guerrero:

Legendary part from over 20 years ago..

not the original section's music, but some music off his album "Soul Food Taqueria" dubbed over a super good ol' part.

more Tommy Guerrero tunes.....

i love watching these older skate sections. It's amazing how much style and flow these guys had even just pushing the boards they were on. The style of skating they're doing in these clips is lost a bit in skate videos these days it seems, things are more bangers and tech oriented, as much as I love bangers and everything in today's skating, it's just something else to watch this style of skating. Watching these parts just gives you a good impression about the passion these guys have for skating.

I like to think I can draw comparisons between how smooth and flowly they are on their boards to the style of music they play. It's all laidback and super good.

One day I promise...

(I realize I say this every six to eight months) But really I do plan on coming back here fairly often. I've been kicking around the idea of doing kind of a video blog, to film some bmx stuff and start learning to create what I want with film/video media.. but we'll see hey?

I'm guessing you're a little bored if you've stumbled across this..you can go listen to these albums if you haven't:

deertick - "war elephant"
i am robot and proud - "grace days"
apparat organ quartet - s/t
tycho - "past is prologue"
ariel pink's haunted graffiti - "doldrums"
battles - "mirrored"
and the classical Indian CD I got with the package of premade Indian food I purchased yesterday... so good... (The food and the music)

Forgive me, I'm just getting back into new music after a long hiatus off it. It's the best.
